THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF KOREA : A NEW BEGINNING FOR CONSERVATION SCIENCE, A FUTURE TOGETHER [INTRO]
[보존과학, 새로운 시작, 함께하는 미래] 전시의 인트로 영상으로, 발굴 현장과 그 속에서 발견되는 유물 조각들을 AI 영상으로 재구성하였습니다. 보존과학은 박물관에서 발굴된 문화재가 어떻게 만들어졌고 어떤 재료로 이루어졌는지 밝히고, 손상 원인을 과학적으로 분석해 보존·복원하는 학문입니다. 최신 보존과학은 3D 분석, CT 스캔, 초분광 영상 등 첨단 기술을 활용하여 유물의 내부 구조와 숨겨진 정보를 시각화하며, 그 과정을 영상으로 담아냅니다. 이 영상은 발굴과 보존처리 과정을 통해 유물이 갖는 역사적 의미와 보존과학의 미래 지향적 역할을 입체적으로 보여줍니다.
As the introduction video for the exhibition [Conservation Science, A New Beginning, A Future Together], this work reconstructs excavation sites and the fragments of artifacts discovered within them through AI-generated visuals. Conservation science is a field that seeks to understand how cultural artifacts uncovered in museums were made, what materials they consist of, and to scientifically analyze the causes of their deterioration in order to preserve and restore them. Contemporary conservation science employs advanced technologies such as 3D analysis, CT scanning, and hyperspectral imaging to visualize the internal structures and hidden information of artifacts, capturing these processes on film. Through the processes of excavation and conservation treatment, this video presents the historical significance of artifacts and the future-oriented role of conservation science in an immersive and multidimensional way.
